The surroundings of Vera offer a large variety of leisure opportunities and facilities that will, without doubt, satisfy all tastes over and above enjoying the sun, beach and the amenities of the complex already described in the other sections.

You can go scuba diving in Mojacar in Villaricos, horse riding, fly micro-light, take 4WD excursions, Quad Bike hire, play golf, take nude trips on sailing boats, hire canoes, visit the Water Park, as well as many other things that the Vera area offers you.

Besides all that have been mentioned there are also Natural Parks and sites of special interest such as the many quiet coves of Cabo de Gata-Níjar national park (many of them also naturist), Tabernas Desert, Karst en Yesos de Sorbas and Sierra María-Los Vélez, where there are many chances for hiking, trekking, adventure tourism or just getting off the beaten track.

Another interesting aspect that must be highlighted is all the historical and cultural heritage of the region… archaeology, handicrafts, traditional festivities, and different kinds of cultural events.

Finally there is a wide variety of culinary and gastronomic possibilities to sample here, as can be found in almost all of Andalucia, which has to be discovered by yourself, dish by dish, and that surprisingly counters the stereotypes that many can have about traditional regional cuisine.
